Peperomia Sp.

$8.00

I’m not sure about the species of this peperomia, but it is the tiniest peperomia I’ve ever seen! I believe I was given a cutting of this a few years ago, and told that the original plant was collected on Isla Colon, Panama. These small peperomias grow in an epiphytic fashion, and generally can only be kept in very high humidity environments.

Given enough time, this plant will form a matt of vegetation!  I suggest attempting to grow it on the back of your terrarium, I find it more interesting when it grows there, and it won’t take up floor space.

I’m only offering this as a cutting, and you’ll get two or three strands (probably more) of this delightful mini plant.  Place it somewhere moist and moderately bright and it should take off.  Keep the humidity very high!  It’s fragile and leaves fall off easily, but don’t worry about that, it should still root well for you! Enjoy what surely is one of the tiniest plants in existence.

Please select either the potted version or cutting (if offered) below.  Then select your bundle, or shipping method.  Unless you are also ordering frogs or geckos,  you will select the Terrarium Plant Bundle, which will give you the option to choose as many (eligible) plants or cuttings as you like, and have them all shipped for one flat rate of $22 for FedEx 2nd Day.  If you would like to have your plants shipped with your live animal order, please see the information below about this!

Please select a Live Animal Bundle Shipping Option to designate whether you are ordering 1-3 plants, or 4 or more plants to be shipped with your live animal order. Feel free to select “Shipping Previously Selected” even if you haven’t selected it yet, if you are not sure how many plants you are going to add to your order. Just be sure to toggle one option or the other on your final plant selection, before you check out!

Plant Shipping Tips and Guarantees

First, if you are willing to make the effort to follow my suggestions for receiving your plants in good condition, I’ll generally replace plants that arrive dead, although I’ll expect you to pay shipping for the replacement order.  The costs of replacement shipping are generally not covered in our guarantees. Our remedy for most live arrival issues is replacement of the product.

Second, unlike fruit flies, which I generally ship regardless of my concerns, I assume you will want me to hold your plant order until I feel there is a reasonable chance for the order to arrive safely.  I will be in touch by email to discuss this.  When conditions are moderate, I’ll ship plant orders immediately. During the winter, I will check the weather at your location as well as nationally, over the expected path that your shipment will take.  We will use heat packs as needed, with no additional costs. In the event that we think additional steps need to be taken to assure safe delivery, we will be in touch.  I do recommend that if the weather is questionable on your end, either too cold, below mid thirties at night, or too hot, above 85 during the day, you should have your package held for pickup.  No replacements will be made if you haven’t taken this step.
