Dendrobates Tinctorius “Lawa”

$60.00

Dendrobates tinctorius “Lawa” are somewhat newer frogs in the US hobby, and are fairly uncommon here.  These frogs are from a known locale, and are found in and around the area of Lawa, a village in Suriname, on the border with French Guiana, which is the Lawa River.  The frogs are found on both sides of this river, thus they exist in both Suriname and French Guiana.  Similar in appearance to the Green or Yellow Sipaliwini form of tinctorius, but slightly smaller.  See the discussion on the Blue Sipaliwini D. tinctorius page if you are curious about this complex.

Status- We are producing a few of these and should have some juveniles ready to sell by mid October, and sexed pairs by spring of 2026
