Fruit Flies and Fruit Fly cultures are quite sensitive to heat, and unfortunately we can’t control what temperatures your order will be subjected to. When the weather is warm, there is a chance that your order will be subjected to high temps at some point in its trip to you, in particular as the box routes through the hub city, it can be outside in the afternoon, on the day after I send it. This is usually the culprit when I have DOA flies (which is actually fairly rare). Another potential problem can occur on the last leg of the journey to you, if your area is hot, and they spend all day on the FedEx truck, this can lead to them being overheated.

Since so much of the shipping process is out of our control, we generally do not offer any live arrival guarantee on Fruit Flies.
