The Blue Sipaliwini form of D. tinctorius are a very variable form of tinctorius. Currently we are producing a couple of different looks in our offspring here, as you can see in the pictures for this product, which are a couple of the ones currently on hand, (May 2022). As these mature, they tend to turn more yellow in many cases! Not that they will ever turn out bright yellow, but definitely a pale yellow.
These frogs are really gorgeous, in my opinion! Some other Blue Sipaliwini you might see have an unappealing (to me at least) light blue or milky coloration, in terms of the netting overlay on top of the black. I am fairly sure they will breed true, the adults look much like the juveniles.
These frogs originate from the southern parts of Suriname, near the border of Brazil. Their exact locale is still not really known, even though they bear a specific locales name (although it is a large area). The frogs being offered are well started juveniles.
