The Capurgana form of D. auratus are a super attractive morph of the auratus species group. Capurgana is a small village on the Caribean coast of Columbia, and this form of auratus is found in this vicinity. While not as bold as the two or three boldest auratus locales or morphs, they are really fairly outgoing, especially so once they settle in for a few months. Their unique tuquoise coloration is striking and the spots and unusual patterns on these set them apart from all the other auratus morphs.
This young pair of auratus are still likely several months from breeding size. I’m fairly confident in the sexing on these. I’ve found these to be a slower growing dart frog and don’t reach maturity for me till around 2 years of age. Highly recommended though! Actual frogs not pictured, let me know if you want to see them!
