About our 2-pack of 24 oz Flightless Fruit Fly Cultures:

Provide your dart frogs with a reliable and prolific food source with our Melanogaster flightless fruit fly cultures, also known in the hobby as “Turkish Gliders.” This Value Pak includes two 24 oz cultures, carefully prepared to ensure optimal feeding schedules:

• One culture producing on arrival, ready to feed your frogs immediately.
• One culture approximately four days behind, offering a steady supply as the first culture completes its cycle.

If you prefer both cultures to be producing upon arrival, simply leave a note in the message box during checkout, and we’ll accommodate your request if inventory allows.

Our flexible ordering system allows you to tailor your purchase to your needs. For example, instead of ordering 2 Fruit Fly Cultures and 2 Hydei “Cup O’ Flies,” you can adjust your order to include 4 Fruit Fly Cultures or request substitutions. Add any special instructions in the checkout message box, and we’ll do our best to fulfill your request based on availability.

Why Choose Melanogaster Fruit Flies?
Melanogaster fruit flies are incredibly easy to culture and are one of the most prolific species available. They’re ideal for feeding smaller dart frogs and other small reptiles or invertebrates, ensuring your pets receive a consistent, high-quality food source.

Fruit Flies and Fruit Fly cultures are quite sensitive to heat, and unfortunately we can’t control what temperatures your order will be subjected to. When the weather is warm, there is a chance that your order will be subjected to high temps at some point in its trip to you, in particular as the box routes through the hub city, it can be outside in the afternoon, on the day after I send it. This is usually the culprit when I have DOA flies (which is actually fairly rare). Another potential problem can occur on the last leg of the journey to you, if your area is hot, and they spend all day on the FedEx truck, this can lead to them being overheated.

Since so much of the shipping process is out of our control, we generally do not offer any live arrival guarantee on Fruit Flies.
