Ensure your larger dart frogs have a steady and reliable food source with our Hydei Fruit Fly “Cup O’ Flies” option. Each order includes two 24 oz cups, each packed with approximately 2,000 flightless Hydei fruit flies. A small amount of media and wood shavings are included in the cups to sustain the flies during transit.

• No Cultures, Just Flies: Shipping Hydei cultures close to production often disrupts their development, so instead, we ship cups full of flies.
• Versatile Use: Each cup provides enough flies to create 3–4 new cultures or feed approximately 10 dart frog tanks (around 20 frogs).

Increased Availability
We’ve boosted Hydei production to ensure this product is more consistently available. However, our Melanogaster “Turkish Glider” fruit fly supply is primarily consumed by our own frogs. If Melanogaster cups are out of stock, we can typically substitute one cup in your order with a producing Melanogaster culture—simply leave a note in the message box during checkout. If substitutions aren’t possible, we’ll let you know and adjust accordingly.

Reliability of Hydei Cultures: While Hydei fruit flies are ideal for larger dart frogs, their cultures are less predictable compared to Melanogaster. If delays arise, we’ll notify you and ship your order as soon as possible.
