We’ve got these awesome captive bred Adelphobates galactonotus, also known as “orange splashbacks” for sale now! Orange form galactonotus are a classic terrarium dart frog. This form is what is called the 90% oranges…there have been several different morphs of Orange galactonotus imported to the US, primarily around the early 2000s, but I think these are the most common form at this point. Commonly called “Orange Splashbacks”, they do well in groups and are reasonably bold and visible. I would recommend them highly as a beginner dart frog!

They also are rewarding to breed, with unusual light grey eggs. Groups of these typically fight and wrestle a good bit to establish dominance but in my experience this is necessary to establish a pecking order, and once they begin breeding, the fighting should die down. They rarely show issues with condition due to the fighting, unlike dart frogs like dendrobates tinctorius, it is just part of the fun for them, I think!

Status- Our group has been productive over the past few months, so we’ve had a good batch of juveniles available.  As of mid March, we should have a few juveniles available, if we are showing sold out just drop me a note to see when the next ones are going to be ready!
