These frogs are similar to the Solid Blue galacs, my discussion about body shape and the fact that they are like tinctorius dart frogs than the more common galactonotus forms is applicable.
These are perhaps a tiny bit smaller than the Solid Blue galacs, and can be kept in a pair or trio in an 18 by 18 foot print tank, (I’d suggest the 24 tall, but 18 is adequate)….and I’d move to a larger tank for 4 or more frogs. Overall, I’d try to aim for a pair though, I recently had the experience of keeping 2 females with a male, and they consistently laid bad eggs for me, but when I removed one of the females, the eggs suddenly miraculously became good.
My findings both times I’ve kept them is that they breed easily, and the tadpoles and juveniles don’t really present much of a problem. I’d encourage anyone interested in seeing this morph continue to be available in the US hobby to get a group of these and work with them, as I noted above, this is a rare dart frog!
