Repashy Superfoods have been making high quality supplements and foods for the terrarium hobby for years. I’ve been using them for around 10 years and feel very comfortable with these products.

Generally speaking for dart frogs and other frogs, Repashy Calcium Plus is the single supplement that your frogs need.  Dusting at each feeding will provide your frogs with the necessary vitamins and minerals missing from your insects.

The next supplement in the list is Repashy Supervite, which is primarily a vitamin supplement.  If used regularly, I would combine it with a good calcium supplement.  Honestly the only reason I know of to use this supplement would be if you have a known issue related to a vitamin deficiency.  Supervite does not contain an adequate amount of calcium to support dart frogs if not mixed with calcium.  Occasional use of this supplement to boost vitamin intake for a specific reason is fine but I don’t recommend using it regularly without calcium.

Vitamin A is a supplement that focuses on providing your frogs with a boost of Vitamin A, which is sometimes thought to promote fertility.  It is worth trying this supplement if you have a pair of frogs that are not producing fertile eggs for you, however I do not recommend just using it for breeding dart frogs or tree frogs.  I say this because I have plenty of dart frogs and tree frogs that lay plenty of fertile eggs with no vitamin A supplementation. Vitamin A is a somewhat controversial supplement, as it is thought that liver damage can be caused by excessive Vitamin A.  Repashy Vitamin A contains “pre-formed” Vitamin A, which is the man made vitamin, as well as precursors, or beta carotene, which is converted by the body into Vitamin A. Generally this is safer than the pre formed version. However, there is some concern about dart frogs being able to convert these Vitamin A precursors into Vitamin A.  Overall, the one thing that is certain is that over supplementation with Vitamin A is a health risk that can cause animals to die. Use moderately if at all!
