Orange Adelphobates galactonotus, Large Juveniles

$65.00

These Orange galactonotus are a classic terrarium dart frog. They do well in groups and are reasonably bold and visible. I would recommend them highly as a beginner dart frog!  They also are rewarding to breed, with unusual light grey eggs.

While they are primarily terrestrial frogs, they do not hesitate to climb and will take advantage of most areas of a normal size terrarium.  You can find a detailed discussion of breeding this frog on my Profile page, linked below, but the summary is that these are prolific frogs which seem to need a bit of combat to get going! Seriously, they really have only bred for me in small groups, three to five frogs. Male-female pairs just don’t do anything in my care, in terms of breeding.

We’ve got one group of these, and produce them sporadically.  As noted with galactonotus, breeding is a hot and cold thing, but they are fairly reliable in that they do breed for us regularly!

Status-As of mid winter 2025, we’ve got a few juveniles too small to sell and some that are larger and available.
